Where innovation meets teamwork: Our first internal Tech Hackathon 🚀✨

Last month, Gabera turned up the energy with our first-ever internal tech hackathon. Over 45 creative minds from across Gabera – software developers, Fellows in industrial IT, project managers, HR, and finance staff – came together for two and a half days of innovation, learning, and a whole lot of fun.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻? Develop warehouse management software to operate our new training conveyor belt, generously sponsored by WITRON Group Germany. But this wasn’t just about coding, UI/UX and automation – it was about breaking down silos, learning new skills from colleagues in other departments, and opening up fresh horizons. 🌍

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻? It’s an opportunity to foster collaboration, ignite creativity, and strengthen company culture. It’s a space where teams can step out of their daily routines, challenge themselves, and connect in new ways. 🤝 

During the final presentation, our Gabera team members, their families, and our valued partners were in the audience. We were honored to have Ali Soumana, Director of hashtag#Cybersecurity from the Ministry of Communication, Posts, and Digital Economy in Niger, join us. A special shoutout to Mr. Issa Hassoumi Boureima, CEO of hashtag#HalassiTransportNiger, who not only manages the after-school center Mon École but also graciously offers his space to us free of charge on an ongoing basis.
