Eight of our Nigerien engineers have just embarked on a journey with our industry partner, WITRON Group in Germany. This marks the final chapter of their fellowship in industrial IT with hashtag#GaberaFoundation. For all of them, it’s their first time leaving West Africa. Here’s what’s ahead:
𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 🔧 Rotating through various departments at Witron, working on real-world projects related to building intralogistics distribution centers.
𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲: 🛠️ In hashtag#automation and hashtag#PLC programming from a global leader in intralogistics.
𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲: 🎓 Upon returning to hashtag#Niger, these engineers will train the next generation, building the future of industrial IT in the region.
𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: 🌍 By late 2024, they’ll start their first assignments on Witron projects in the USA and Europe.
𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 🔄 Our partnership with Witron provides engineers with access to job opportunities in West Africa, allowing them to contribute to local economic growth. At the same time, they gain valuable international experience by rotating between positions in Niger and abroad. This approach not only develops local Nigerien talent but also helps address global skilled labor shortages. This is not brain drain; it’s hashtag#BrainCirculation. It’s a true win-win.
After a safe arrival in Germany, they spent the weekend immersed in cultural experiences and had the privilege of meeting Mr. Winkler, the visionary founder of Witron. This week marks their first week on the job, and we wish them an inspiring and productive journey. The skills they gain will shape a brighter future in Niger and beyond. ✨
